On 02.18.2011 we went to London for the "New RICS members diploma ceremony. The ceremony was held at the headquarters (HQ) of the RICS right place at the Parliament Square. The venerable building is located in the immediate vicinity of the Palace of Westminster, seat of the British Parliament, and Westminster Abbey. The recently refurbished building houses including a bistro, a first-class restaurant (Roux), University Bookstore, fireplace room, a very representative wood-paneled room where the ceremony took place, and a (not so accessible) roof terrace with great views over the Square.
participated in the ceremony of 34 new members, including 4 from Germany and 30 from the UK, and a variety of guests (parents, partners). The ceremony lasted about. two hours and ended with a champagne reception. Robert Peto, RICS President, in his speech once again the extreme importance of "country" in a broader sense the attention to our economies and the devil of synthetic financial products by banks. He then gave each new member in person with a diploma.
